
ABOUT US
The Supernovas is Villanova’s oldest all-gender a cappella group, founded in 1999. Across majors from engineering, nursing, finance and more, The Supernovas come together to arrange and perform music all year as a group of close friends. Their song “California” originally by Chappell Roan was honored on Varsity Vocals’ 2025 Best of College A Cappella Album.
In the past, The Supernovas have represented their school across the country, toured the Northeast with other a cappella groups, headlined festivals, and competed in the ICCAs every year. In 2022, The Supernovas made Villanova history by becoming Mid-Atlantic Champions and advancing to the ICCA Finals in New York City as one of the top ten groups in the world. Most recently, they were named 2026 ICCA Quarterfinal Champions.
