ABOUT US
The Supernovas are Villanova’s oldest all gender
A cappella group. Since being founded in 1999, we have sung music that spans a wide variety of decades and genres including artists such as Kanye West, Leon, Lizzo, and Sam Smith. Throughout the year, we perform at various events on and off Villanova’s campus such as basketball games, Special Olympics Fall Fest, and our own a cappella concerts. In the past, we have performed at benefit concerts, toured the Northeast with other groups, and been invited to audition for NBC's The Sing Off.
We have been performing competitively in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) for the last several years. This past spring, we earned the title of Mid-Atlantic champions with our set titled Delirium. As Mid-Atlantic Champions, we represented the region at ICCA Finals in New York City as one of the top ten groups in the world. We were previously Mid-Atlantic Semifinalists in 2017, 2020, and 2021 and they look forward to continuing to compete.
In 2021, we achieved our long time goal of being recording artists when we released our 2021 ICCA set and our two singles, Pray and Kissing Other People. We are incredibly excited to share our music with a wider audience and you find us by searching "The Supernovas" wherever you stream your music. Stay tuned for new music in 2022!
